Sincron or DeepL: which should you pick?
DeepL is a translator. Its quality in European languages is the market reference, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. It translates pasted text, whole documents, and text selected in Windows with a double Ctrl+C. The Windows app also has screen capture, so the boundary is not as clean as it looks.
Sincron is a screen tool. Its point is not translating better — it is reaching what you cannot copy and returning the translation in its original position, preserving what position means: axis labels, panel fields, log columns. After that, it summarizes, annotates and shares in the same gesture.
In practice, many people use both. DeepL when they have the text and want the best possible translation; Sincron when the text is locked inside an image, a game, a panel or a protected PDF, and the position of each block matters.

When DeepL is the right choice
When you have the text and translation quality is what is at stake. Contracts, emails, copyable articles, translations someone else will read as if they were yours.
When it is a whole document. Converting a 40-page PDF in one pass is document-translator work, not screen reading.
When terminology cannot vary. The glossary in paid plans pins terms, and that is a feature we do not have.
When Sincron is the right choice
When there is nothing to copy. Scanned PDFs, labelled figures, games, legacy ERPs, screenshots someone sent you.
When moving the text destroys the meaning. A chart whose labels became a list is no longer a chart.
When reading has a next step: summarizing to decide whether it is worth reading, marking the passage, sending the finished screenshot.

Does Sincron translate as well as DeepL?
On running text in European languages, probably not. DeepL specializes in translation quality; that is its reason to exist. Our problem is different: reaching the text and preserving its position.
Doesn't DeepL have screen capture too?
It does, in the Windows app. The difference is the destination: the captured text goes into its translation field. In Sincron, the translation returns on top of the original, keeping the screen's layout.
Is it worth paying for both?
If you translate long documents often and also deal with untranslatable screens, yes — they are different expenses. If only one case is yours, pay only for that one.
Which is cheaper long term?
Sincron's lifetime licence is US$89 once. DeepL is a subscription, so over three years the cost depends on the plan. Compare by use case, not by the number: they are different things.
